Joe Durant Leads PGA Tour Mayakoba Golf Classic

Joe Durant is still leading with a two-stroke advantage after the end of the third round on the PGA Tour Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya, Cancun. 45-year-old golfer from Florida, which won four times on the PGA Tour this, after getting his first title since 2006 last, scored birdies on the last two holes and added two under par 69 of the first two rounds, 64 and 66.

After scoring one bogey in the opening two rounds, Durant lost three strokes in two holes between the third and fourth holes, Saturday. However, he still reaped 14 below par on the 54th hole; bringing the total he reaped two strokes over Charles Warren (65) and JP Hayes (69) and three-stroke advantage over Chad Collins (67) and Cameron Beckman (69).

Regarding his chances of completing this round, Durant said, I still need a good game compared to today. But I feel confident. I do this with a good price. I hit the ball good. So if I can do and better yet, I’m definitely confident, he said as quoted from Sportinglife.com. Durant added, always helps if you are in this position several times and knew the round that you need when appearing on a Sunday to win the golf tournament, he said. At least, you know in your mind what you need. Whether you can do or not, who knows? Experience always helps, said Durant.
