From the PGA Tour: 2011 ushers in a new world order

What’s striking about the changing complexion of global professional golf is the dawn of a new age of young talent principally from Asia.

The 2011 season will witness the addition of two young South Korean players to the PGA Tour’s rolls. They are 20-year-old Bio Kim and the 24-year-old Sung-hoon Kang.

We do also expect some participation from two 19-year-olds, Ryo Ishikawa of Japan and Noh Seung- yul of South Korea. 17-year-old Italian phenomenon Matteo Manassero became the youngest winner ever on the European Tour in 2010. A curious 17 of the world’s top 25 players now hold domicile outside the US.
